Lean Spring Transformation Conference

In times like these, what organizations AREN’T looking for ways to reduce waste in business processes while maximizing customer value? In this 2-day conference, Institute for Lean Systems brings speakers from across the country to share their personal experiences in applying a lean philosophy to their companies. DAY 1 AGENDA

  • Brad Thompson, CEO, Columbia Forest Products.  Columbia is the nation’s largest provider of hardwood plywood.  Brad will discuss his vision for Columbia and what he’s doing to get the organization aligned for the road ahead
  • Brad Denning, CEO, Skier’s Choice, Inc. Skier’s Choice is a manufacturer of luxury, in-board boats for skiing and wakeboarding.  Brad will discuss the impact of education on a lean transformation
  • Doug Clark, Plant Manager, Linak-US. Linak is a world leader in electric linear actuation, developing electric linear actuators and actuator control systems used in a variety of applications.  Doug will show us the activities Linak has been working and share the challenges at the plant level.
  • Dr. Jon Yingling, Director, Lean Systems Design, Institute for Lean Systems. Jon will bring a case from recent work in product development and review lean applications beyond the plant.

DAY 2 AGENDA

  • Mike Hoseus, Author of “Toyota Culture: The heart and soul of the Toyota Way” and David Veech, Executive Director, ILS.  Mike and David will share specific insights about addressing, engaging, developing, and leading people in a lean transformation
  • Bill Duarte, Director of Lean Transformation, Columbia Forest Products, and Parthi Damodaraswamy, Director of Operational Excellence, ILS. Bill and Parthi will present strategies Columbia is using to overcome the challenges of sustaining lean gains.
