Implementing Timekeeping & Attendance Software at BHSI:

Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. is one of the largest not-for-profit healthcare systems in Kentucky. Currently, BHSI consists of 407-bed Baptist Hospital East in Louisville, 371-bed Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, 373-bed Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, 240-bed Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin, and 120-bed Baptist Hospital Northeast in La Grange. In addition, BHSI manages 300-bed Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. BHSI turned to ExecuTrain for help implementing technology that would streamline time and attendance records.

The Goal

• Implement api-Time and Attendance software.
• Partner with a company that could offer a turn-key solution in the development and delivery of necessary training.

ExecuTrain's Solution

• Developed a training and communications plan that best positioned users to adapt successfully to the technology and process changes.
• Designed curriculum and job aides that provide present users with effective training materials that could also be used in the future after the training responsibility transfers to internal resources.
• Provided training to 500+ managers that approve and manage employee's time and attendance.
• Provided training to approximately 20 "coaches" per site that then provided the User Training for special methods of keeping time.
• Assisted implementation managers and software consultants by providing issues tracking and management.

Results

• Successful development of all training materials and job aides.
• Complete documentation services (printing and distribution of all materials).
• Highly successful implementation at all Baptist Healthcare System facilities.
• Users trained to a minimum 80% proficiency level.
• Project completed on time and under budget.
